The clinic uses the Setmore website for managing appointments. To book click on the button above and it will open up to the TTGC booking page in Setmore. Alternatively the link is https://ttgc.setmore.com Select if you would like a video or telephone appointment and use the calendar to select an appointment time and enter your details. There is an option to create a login for the booking site so that you can view and manage your appointments easily. If wanting to commence hormone therapy it takes at the very minimum two 30 minute appointments. At the initial appointment it is about getting to know you and what your goals are, your medical history and discussing treatment options. Blood tests are ordered, and the consent form for treatment is discussed. At the second appointment the results from the blood tests are reviewed and treatment options including risks are discussed. Some people will need more appointments to further investigate risk factors specific to them or to ask more questions. There is a need for ongoing review and follow up. If commencing hormone therapy you will need to have 10 minute review appointments with repeat blood tests every 3 months for the first year, then every 6 - 12 months in subsequent years. The follow up appointments are a chance to review pathology results, review the treatment plan, discuss side effects and issue new scripts. Once the appointment is booked you will be sent an email with the booking details and links to change or cancel the appointment. It is a good idea to keep this email to refer back to. If you cancel your appointment a refund is issued and will appear back in your account within 14 business days. Please get in contact if this doesn't happen. We ask that you please reschedule or cancel at least 24 hours before the beginning of your appointment. If it is your first appointment, after booking your initial appointment using Setmore (explained above), please use the link below to fill in your details for the appointment so we can create your file, https://www.ttgc.com.au/details.html. To book in for an urgent/after hours appointment use the Setmore link below or navigate to 'Book Additional Services' on the Setmore TTGC page. These after hours appointments are available for existing users who need an out of hours appointment completed between regular appointments, often for medication reviews, blood work review or paperwork etc. Alternatively if you don't need an appointment but are an existing user who needs paperwork completed between appointments, including Gender Marker Letters, Super Forms, Referral Letters etc you can book in for administration time to have this done at the link below. https://ttgc.setmore.com/bookclass The clinic uses Medirecords software for managing electronic records and issuing e-prescriptions. There is an excellent companion app that keeps all of your documents in one place including pathology forms, results, referrals, plans and scripts. You will be sent a link to sign up for the app at your first appointment. Please do not download the app and create a profile prior to the appointment as it makes it very difficult to link the two records when this happens. Information on support for the app is available here - https://support.medirecords.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001355832-My-patient-is-having-problems-with-MediRecords-App-What-do-I-do- The appointment is run via telephone or Zoom. If requesting a video appointment via Zoom you will need to have access to the internet, a device with video and microphone as well as downloading Zoom to your device which you can do at https://zoom.us/download. When it is time for your appointment click on the meeting link in the booking email you were sent to join the session which says "Video Call Meeting: Join your meeting". Doing this should automatically open up Zoom on your device if you have it installed, and if not, it will prompt you to install it. You don't need to create a Zoom account to join a meeting. You only need a Zoom account if you want to host one. Allow Zoom access to your video and microphone to join the call by clicking on 'Join with Video' and 'Join with Computer Audio'. You may be asked to ‘approve and accept’ for your camera or microphone to be used. Once it is your appointment time you will then be connected to the meeting room. Before your telehealth appointment, it is a good idea to do a pre-call test to ensure your internet speed, camera and microphone are working. To do this go to http://zoom.us/test then click 'Join' and follow the instructions. At the time of your call, try not to have other programs, apps or streaming services running, as this may slow down your internet speed. If you are still having issues connecting please have a look at the Zoom support page for further guidance https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us. If having technical difficulties during the appointment we can convert to a telephone appointment. Sometimes (actually lets be honest, frequently) the appointment before yours may go overtime, resulting in your appointment starting late. If there will be a significant delay we will try and send you an email letting you know. We know this can be frustrating but often issues arise during appointments and it is common for the appointments to take longer than planned. State in the booking notes if you have a strict time limit available for your appointment (such as squeezing it into your lunch time) and we will do our to best to juggle times to make it fit. |
